Russia shot down 287 Ukrainian drones in one of the most massive attacks by Kiev's armed forces overnight. The Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that 32 of them were headed for Moscow.
According to the mayor of the capital, Sergey Sabianin, teams of the emergency response services rushed to the scene, without mentioning any casualties or material damage.
The press representative of the Russian civil aviation service said that the operation of all airports serving Moscow was suspended as a precaution.
He noted that the St. Petersburg airport received flights diverted from the capital.
He also added that several more airports, especially in central Russia, suspended arrivals and departures for security reasons.
