In the United States, the Democrats won the municipality of Miami, something that had happened in 28 years in the financial capital of Florida.
During the last three presidential contests, the State of Florida had voted for Donald Trump.
In Miami, Eileen Higgins prevailed with an impressive 60% in the municipal elections of Emilio Gonzalez, who had the support of the American president.
Higgins is the first woman to hold that office in Miami.
The predominance of the democrats in this particular electoral contest, comes to be added to a series of successes of the opposition in recent times, in local electoral contests.
