The Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) was honored on Thursday, December 11, 2025, by the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, in an official ceremony, with the title "Equality Employer", in the context of the certification of organizations for the Implementation of Good Practices for Gender Equality in the Working Environment.
This is a particularly important distinction, which highlights the University's firm commitment to the principles of equality, inclusion and respect for human rights in the workplace.
The Rector of TEPAK, Professor Panagiotis Zafeiris, expressed his particular satisfaction for this distinction, stressing that it is a tangible result of collective effort, institutional planning and the University's long-term commitment to values that go beyond academic work. At the same time, he congratulated all those who contributed to the achievement of this important goal, emphasizing that equality and inclusion are an integral part of TEPAK's administrative and academic philosophy.
The certification is awarded by the Certification Body for Businesses and Organizations for the Implementation of Good Practices for Gender Equality in the Working Environment, which operates under the supervision of the Department of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance.
The Agency's purpose is to recognize organizations that implement integrated policies that ensure conditions of gender equality, equal opportunities for advancement and training, reconciliation of professional and family life, as well as the principle of equal pay between men and women for equal work or work of equal value.
This distinction is the culmination of TEPAK's systematic effort to create a modern, fair and inclusive working environment, which respects diversity and promotes equality at all levels.
