Member of Iran's Revolutionary Guard elite force killed by Israeli army in Lebanon

Israel's military announced it had killed a fighter from Iran's elite Quds Force, the Revolutionary Guards' special foreign operations wing, in a strike in Lebanon.

Israel accuses the Quds Force of planning attacks on Israeli soil "from Syria and Lebanon."

"Hussein Mahmoud Marsad al-Jawari has played a central role in the Quds Force's operational unit, Unit 840, and in recent years has been involved in planning terrorist attacks against the State of Israel from Syria and Lebanon," the Israeli military said in a statement.
