On the evening of November 25, residents of several areas of Nicosia, including Strovolos, Lakatamia and Geri, witnessed the passage of a Turkish aircraft, which was moving at a noticeably low altitude and causing a lot of noise.
The aircraft took off for Antalya from the illegal Ercan Airport in the occupied territories.
Users on social networks note that such flights are cause for concern, especially given their low flight path. Witnesses reported that the plane was flying so low that “it seemed like it could be seen in detail.”
Local residents continue to discuss what happened, expressing concern about the safety of the airspace; authorities have not yet commented on the situation.
