A new art space in Limassol hosts a work by Anselm Kiefer

The opening of the new art space of XenArtSpace and the Dreamscapes exhibition was held by the First Lady, Philippa Karsera-Christodoulidis last Wednesday, December 3rd in Limassol, where a painting by Anselm Kiefer is hosted for the first time in Cyprus.

According to a press release, the curator, collector and founder of XeniArtSpace, Xenia Kulbachevskaya stated that the operation of the new space represents a deeply personal milestone and her goal is to promote contemporary art, bring the artistic community closer together, support Cypriot creators and offer the Cypriot public the opportunity to experience works by some of the most important artists worldwide, many of whom are being presented for the first time in the country.

He added that the presence of a leading work by Anselm Kiefer, one of the most prominent figures of contemporary art, alongside Cypriot and other internationally recognized visual artists, strengthens this coupling and highlights XeniArtSpace's ambition to connect the contemporary Cypriot scene with the wider international visual landscape.

The wife of the President of the Republic, Filippa Karsera-Christodoulidis, referred to the government's firm policy of supporting art and culture. The work carried out by Xenia and XeniArtSpace is admirable, he added, as it offers Cypriot artists the opportunity to exhibit their works, develop their artistic career and meet the public in an environment that actually encourages creation.
