Donald Trump gave Volodymyr Zelensky a few days to respond to Washington's peace proposal.
As the Financial Times reports, in the proposed peace agreement, Kiev will accept a loss of territory in return for unspecified security guarantees from the United States. According to the newspaper, the American President hopes to reach an agreement by Christmas.
At the same time, the Ukrainian President stated that improved documents on the peace plan to end the war in Ukraine will soon be ready.
He said the documents were being processed by the Ukrainian leadership and its European allies, adding that once they were ready, they would be presented to the American side. He argued that everything depends on Russia's willingness to proceed with a ceasefire.
The residents of Kiev are without electricity
Kiev has been plunged into darkness by the ongoing Russian attacks, as the electricity system has been affected. 50% of electricity consumers in the Ukrainian capital remain without power, as announced by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
This development led the Ukrainian authorities to the decision to impose additional restrictions on the consumption of electricity from non-essential facilities. At the same time, the import of energy for state-owned companies will be allowed.
Meanwhile, it was announced from London that a British soldier was killed on Ukrainian soil during a test of a new defensive weapon of the Ukrainian armed forces.
