XeniArtSpace, the iconic Gallery inspired and created by Xenia Kulbachevskaya, opens a new creative chapter at Trilogy Plaza in Limassol, inaugurating its new art space with the exhibition Dreamscapes. This development further enhances the gallery's capabilities, allowing it to present visual narratives with greater scale, freedom and thematic scope. At the same time, it creates the conditions for new collaborations with leading artists and creators and reflects XeniArtSpace's firm commitment to contemporary art.
The Dreamscapes exhibition, which marks the official opening, is a major milestone for the Gallery.
Dreamscapes explores the space where the real meets the dreamlike and the landscape acts as a gateway to emotion and contemplation. In a time where uncertainty shapes the collective experience, artists turn to nature to express what is not easily articulated in words. They use the landscape as a language of memory, sensitivity and hope. These dream environments function as a refuge, but also as a mirror that reflects the deeper aspects of the human experience.
The opening of the new art space of XenArtSpace and the Dreamscapes exhibition was performed by the First Lady, Philippa Karsera-Christodoulidis, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the presence of selected guests from the fields of culture, art and business.
For XeniArtSpace Curator, Collector and Founder Xenia Kulbachevskaya, the launch of the new space represents, she said, a deeply personal milestone. With particular emotion, she said that she feels proud that within just one year of operation, the Gallery has welcomed thousands of visitors, both to get to know the permanent collection and the exhibitions organized. Its aim, he underlined, was and remains to promote contemporary art, to bring the artistic community closer together, to support Cypriot creators and to offer the public of Cyprus the opportunity to know the works of some of the most important artists worldwide, many of whom are being presented for the first time in the country.
Xenia Kulbachevskaya also pointed out that the new space is a natural continuation of this process and reflects the gallery's constant desire to constantly strengthen the dialogue between local and international creators. The presence of a leading work by Anselm Kiefer, one of the most prominent figures of contemporary art, next to Cypriot and other internationally recognized visual artists, strengthens this coupling and highlights the ambition of XeniArtSpace to connect the contemporary Cypriot scene with the wider international visual landscape.
The First Lady, Philippa Karsera-Christodoulidis, expressed her joy at being once again among artists from Cyprus and abroad, while confirming the government's firm policy of supporting art and culture. As he noted, the work carried out by Xenia and XeniArtSpace is admirable, as it offers Cypriot artists the opportunity to exhibit their works, develop their artistic career and meet the public in an environment that actually encourages creation.
Referring to the opening of the new space, she emphasized that together with the Dreamscapes exhibition, they are another tangible example of XeniArtSpace's important effort to unite the art community and offer more opportunities to express and present the work of artists. At the same time, Ms. Karsera warmly congratulated Xenia Kulbachevskaya and the Gallery team for their passion, consistency and constant support for Cypriot creators, pointing out that their contribution is a valuable asset for the cultural life of Cyprus.
Dreamscapes…Where the real meets the dreamlike
The Dreamscapes exhibition, which marks the opening of XeniArtSpace's new art space, presents a monumental painting by Anselm Kiefer, exhibited for the first time in Cyprus and framed by works by Olafur Eliasson, Pierre Knop, Andreas Eriksson, Billy Childish and other internationally recognized artists. Their works meet the creations of ten artists living and working in Cyprus, creating a meeting ground where different approaches to landscape, sensation and memory subtly converse with each other.
The exhibition will remain open to the public from December 4, 2025 until April 4, 2026.
