Fidias Panayiotou thanks Greece for military assistance to Cyprus

Member of the European Parliament Fidias Panayiotou published a video message on the social network X, in which he thanked Greece for its prompt military support for Cyprus after the drone attack on the base in Akrotiri.

In his address, Panayiotou noted that Athens sent two frigates and four F-16 fighter jets to Cyprus, emphasizing that Greece was the only state to respond immediately.

He expressed gratitude to the Greek government for its support and solidarity, but at the same time criticized other European Union countries for not reacting quickly.

“It’s incredible how they don’t care about Cyprus, and unfortunately they have shown it to us again,” he said, referring to the rest of the EU member states.
