Paphos acquires an additional parliamentary seat and rises to five, while Nicosia reduces its seats from 20 to 19, due to a difference in the number of voters, as approved by the Plenary of the Parliament.
38 MPs voted in favor of the amendments.
During the debate, the positions of the MPs focused on institutional consistency, the need to respect the population ratio and the importance of automatic registration in the electoral rolls.
