Egypt calls for a stabilization force in the Gaza Strip

Egypt has requested the rapid deployment of an international force to monitor the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, as part of the second phase of the Israel-Hamas peace agreement.

Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelati, said the measure was deemed necessary due to Israel's daily violation of the ceasefire.

He also warned that the Rafah crossing from Egypt to Gaza will not be a gateway for displaced people and that the aim is to flood Gaza with humanitarian and medical aid.
